Hazvinei Mugwagwa has broad experience representing a variety of clients, from entrepreneurs, executives, angel investors, and private funds in a variety of commercial, strategic, equity, and debt transactions.
Leveraging his legal background in private practice and in-house, together with his commercial executive experience, he advises and consults for clients undertaking mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and private equity financing, as well as complex structured and project financings, both domestically and internationally.
Hazvinei has been a marketing and sales leader, including as the Sub-Saharan Africa Sales Director for a European multinational and the Chief Commercial Officer for a Canadian startup. His legal experience included being a business and finance associate for a leading global law firm and an associate general counsel for a public biotechnology company.
Hazvinei received his Juris Doctor (Cum Laude) from the University of Baltimore School of Law. He earned his Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) degree in Finance and Accounting from Carleton University, Ottawa Canada.
